We are now looking for a Head of Operational Development to our overall Building Nordics operations, reporting to our Head of Business Area. The position will be based at one of our Nordic offices but with frequent travel and interactions with management in our three divisions in the Nordic countries. The position holder will be a member of the Building Nordics Management Team.
The responsibility of the Head of Operational Development is to contribute to Building Nordics overall strategy and goals by driving and implementing strategic and operational Group initiatives and processes in close collaboration with the management team and representing the Business Area in different foras. You are expected to take an active part in the management team as well as in overall development and collaboration across the Group. The outcome of your work is expected to lead to better ways of working supporting the business in making the right strategic decisions and act on opportunities in the market. You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders within NCC to further strengthen collaboration. You will have the full P&L responsibility within your area of expertise and you will report to the Head of NCC Building Nordics, Caharina Molén-Runnäs
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordination and alignment in common processes and ways of working
- Prioritization and co-ordination within digitalization
- Responsible for implementation of group common development initiatives within the business area
- Coordinate demand, drive development of common reports and analytics for the business area
Your experience and background
A unique opportunity for a operational development executive to join a high-performing team in developing a leading business in an exciting industry. We are looking for a self-driven individual with a strong toolbox and track record who has the ability to balance leading the operational development team with being a strategic speaking partner to the rest of the management team. You have an academic degree and have experience from a similar role in a large matrix organization working with multiple stakeholders. You build strong relationships with internal Business Areas/Divisions, supporting functions and you make sure to utilize the full capacity of the large organization. Furthermore, you thrive in a setting where you have an impact on a strategic level while at the same time also act on both tactical and operational tasks.
You are a mature leader who is dedicated, driven, and solution oriented with a natural interest for the business and how operational development can contribute to business success. With a proactive mindset and structured approach you contribute to developing the Business Area and NCC Group. You enjoy working together with others but you are also comfortable in making brave decisions on your own when needed. The role requires fluency in English and Swedish.
Business Area Building Nordics builds and refurbishes sustainable housing, offices, health care buildings, schools, sports facilities and public buildings for public and private customers in Norway, Denmark and Finland.
